Normandy Attractions  For family holidays Normandy is an excellent choice with attractions to keep everyone happy, from outdoor activity centres to zoos, museums, a small theme park and miles of sandy beaches. For those interested in history the region is full of museums dedicated to Roman History, the Norman Conquest and the Second World War - especially D Day.  And in the heart of Normandy you will find wonderful rolling countryside, gardens and châteaux. Worthy of a trip are Le Mont St-Michel just over the departmental border in Brittany, the Palace de Versailles west of Paris and even Paris itself.

For the children: Ideally for younger children (under 10s).

Additional information from one of our visitors:

I would like to comment on the Village enchante.  I have had the pleasure of taking my grandchildren whose ages range from 6 to 13 to this adventure park on several occasions. There is something for all of them. This year there were some more improvements to the park and it now has dodgem cars which all the children loved (the youngest being accompanied by their parents).
There is a small animal farm with goats and pigs and also that there are the usual picnic areas.

We were there during the Easter break when it was fairly quiet so the children had unlimited time in the dodgems - it was difficult to drag them away. they all enjoyed the bouncy castles (some were more challenging than others so kept the older ones occupied).  The rope walk is fairly challenging to younger children and adults but enjoyed by all.  I think this is a very good value for money place to take the children - even the train ride around the park was enjoyed by all and of course there is the zip wire which was introduced recently (the only thing that has an extra charge for).

The only thing that the older ones were a little bored with was the puppet show that we always go to watch before we leave. Very entertaining for the first or second time (even for those who do not speak French).  All in all a place worth the visit and a place where you could spend a whole day, weather permitting. Hope this is helpful.
