So, what makes a Softies cycling holiday special? Here is a quick rundown of why we think you should tour France the Softies way this summer…

Pampered independence
Our behind-the-scenes organisation takes care of all your arrangements, sorts out headaches, smooths the way – leaving you in peace to enjoy every minute of your holiday.

On-the-spot support
Our fully-trained, English-speaking assistants are available throughout your cycling holiday. At your first hotel they introduce you to the region and the bikes. They are then on hand for any emergencies while you’re on the road.

Your luggage carried between hotels
For years our holidaymakers carried all their belongings in panniers, but now we’ll transfer what you need for up to nine nights away.

Superior hotels
After more than three decades, we know the best places to stay. We personally visit every region each year to make sure they are just as good as we remember.

Gourmet meals every night
With the exception of our special ‘Softies without Suppers’ itineraries, we arrange all your evening meals at the best local restaurants around, taking all the stress out of your cycling holiday.

First class organisation
Between our experienced staff in Britain and our fantastic support team in France, we think of every detail and leave nothing to chance – so you don’t have to worry.

Top quality bikes and equipment
Our British-built, light-weight bikes are fully serviced between outings and all equipment is waiting for you on arrival. The introduction of E-Bikes on many of our Softies tours help keep on trundling without tiring.

Regionspont-du-gard

Provence
Fall in love with Provence this summer as Cycling for Softies helps you and your family have fun, get together and sample the beautiful hotels and restaurants nestled across this enchanting region.

The chatter from the cafés melt with the buzz from the cicadas. Against cobalt skies the Roman ruins and fortified hilltop villages glow pure white.

Use the Calavon and Luberon cycle trails to take you through vineyards, lavender fields and orchards into the heart of WW2 resistance country; with stunning views across the valley.

Burgundy
Weave your way along the fantastic cycle tracks before rewarding yourself with sumptuous cuisine from Burgundy bustling markets and gastronomic restaurants.

Black kites circle overhead, wildflowers and butterflies cover the verges. This region takes its gastronomy and its wine very seriously. Where else would you find chickens ‘appelation contrôlées’ and 10 Grand Cru wines?

On a bike you’ll have it all to yourself. Explore using the magical Voie Verte and Voie Bleue cycle paths and the tiny lanes that crisscross the vineyards. This relatively flat region provides a stunning backdrop for families to explore the beautiful villages and stunning scenery.
