Marineland, south of France

Description: Whilst the entry price is quite expensive, this sealife centre is really well worth visiting. You can enter early in the day and stay until late in the evening to see all the different shows. If you want a really special experience you can book (for approx an additional €69 per person!) to actually get in the water with the dolphins. Height restriction applies.

Location: Located just north of Antibes.  Take the Route de Nice north from Antibes and after around 4km turn left at the roundabout onto the D4 to Biot.  Marineland is almost immediately on the right.

General Info: The park opens daily at 10AM until late between mid-February and December.  Multi-park passes and other special offers are available, see the website www.marineland.fr  for full information.

Our recommendations: The attraction is highly recommended by the Walker family from Fleet who visited in 2009 (thanks guys for suggesting it!).  During the middle of the day when it’s really hot, head inside to see the aquarium.

For the children: The children will love to see the dolphins, sea lions and killer whales.
