Ski Holidays in Espace Killy

The Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps offers the biggest concentration of world-class ski resorts in the world. You’ll find the Paradiski (Les Arcs, La Plagne) and Les Trois Vallées (Val Thorens, Meribel, Courchevel and more) and the Espace Killy. Espace Killy, named after skier Jean-Claude Killy (a French World Cup alpine ski racer in the 1960s), covers the high altitude resorts of Val d’Isère and Tignes

Ski holidays in Val d’Isere and Tignes are probably best known for offering more challenging skiing, with this area featuring over 300km of downhill skiing served by 90 ski lifts, but there is plenty to offer people of all skiing and snowboarding abilities.

There are plenty of different ski holiday resorts to choose from in Espace Killy, from the more traditional charm of Val d’Isere and the smaller satellite villages around to the more purpose built resorts such as Tignes. There are good road links between them all, and overall good access from airports in Chambery, Lyon and Geneva.

The ski centres in the Tignes and Val d’Isere all tend to be self -contained with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. There are ski schools in each resort which are well used to catering to British nationals with good levels of English being spoken, plus children’s clubs which cater from youngsters from toddlers and older.
