Head to the French Alps not just for skiing in the winter, but for a fun-packed adventure family holiday in the summer.

Away from the more frenetic coastal French resorts, you’ll discover a beautiful area that offers a wide variety of accommodation that tends to be at a fraction of the price that you’ll pay in the more traditionally popular areas.

Popular activities including hiking, kayaking, white-water rafting, mountain biking, road cycling.  There’s plenty of adventure that appeals to the most hard-core, however there is plenty to do to take into consideration all members of the family, including all ages of children.

Sambuy Toboggan

Head to La Sambuy, between Albertville and Annecy, you’ll discover the Sambuy Luge or Toboggan.

Sambuy is a small family resort, in a naturally beautiful area ideal for walking and relaxing. Take in the mountain air and feel on top of the world.   It’s a fun day out for the children with a fun discovery trail, trampolines and the toboggan or ‘luge’.

This fun toboggan, open in the winter and the summer is a 600m downhill ride.  With twists and turns, it runs down the beautiful French mountainside, in and out of trees down to the base.

Suitable for children aged 4 and above if accompanied by an adult (until age 8), the toboggan has an integrated braking system and safety belts, so you will enjoy sliding down safely at a speed which can reach 35 km/h.
