Moulin de la Tour

Take a quick diversion to this 16th-century water mill in Sainte-Nathalène on the edge of the small Enéa river to purchase walnut, hazelnut and almond oils which are made in the traditional way.

Description: This working press used to do tours but now is just a small shop which occasionally does tasting days.

Location: 8km east of Sarlat off the D47 in Ste Nathalène.

Our recommendations: Take a guided tour in English.  You could easily combine this with a visit to the Gardens at Manoir d’Eyrignac.

For the children: It’s a shop.  They will be entertained until they realise it’s just salad and cooking oils!
