Following Edouard Philippe’s announcement on 28th May setting out the next phase of de-confinement in France, and providing that the containment of Covid-19 continues, we are delighted to say that Peyloubère will be welcoming guests once again from the beginning of July.
We will of course continue to be mindful of the situation and the precautions will be in place to ensure that guests are as safe as possible at Peyloubère :-
Cleanliness – 24 hours between reservations to ensure even more stringent cleanliness than usual
Social distancing – from your hosts and other guests, private gardens and plenty of space in which to wander and relax away from other guests
Check-in and check-out without contact
Co-operation on regulated pool times for each family
You will find full details on our website and blog – www.peyloubere.com – but don’t hesitate to contact us direct. We cannot wait to be sharing Peyloubère with our guests once again so fingers crossed, the situation will continue to improve. A bientôt !
The stunning Domaine de Peyloubère is a 35-acre château estate located near Auch in the heart of Gascony, south-west France.
The Bed & Breakfast (Chambre d’hôte) is offered in two suites of rooms in the Manoir. On the first floor the Cavaglieri Suite comprises a sitting room, bathroom and bedroom and is located in the part of the Manoir where the ceilings were painted by the Italian artist, Mario Cavaglieri, for his beloved wife, Giulietta.
On the ground floor the Garden Room suite was originally the sitting room used by the Cavaglieri family during the summer months. Its beauty lies, not in painted walls and ceilings, but in its double aspect and the tall french windows leading into the Manoir garden. This ensures that the room is bathed in sunshine throughout the day but always remains wonderfully cool and fresh. The bathroom is en-suite and the rooms, which accommodate two people, have a double brass bedstead, comfortable sofa and dining area.
Guests have use of the 40ft heated swimming pool as well as the health and exercise cabin with sauna, exercise equipment, private garden and sunbathing terrace. All this as well as 35 acres of woodland, lakes and gardens and lots to do and see nearby, makes Peyloubère an ideal holiday and touring location.
You’ll love Peyloubère for the Italian atmosphere. The chateau is classified as a ‘Monument Historique’ by virtue of the fact that it was the home of the Italian painter, Mario Cavaglieri for over forty years. Legacies of his ownership are the frescoed ceilings in many of the rooms of the Manoir, the graceful Italian garden and the relaxed, bohemian atmosphere of the Domaine.
