Update – 4th June 2020

Following Edouard Philippe’s announcement on 28th May setting out the next phase of de-confinement in France, and providing that the containment of Covid-19 continues, we are delighted to say that Peyloubère will be welcoming guests once again from the beginning of July.

We will of course continue to be mindful of the situation and the precautions will be in place to ensure that guests are as safe as possible at Peyloubère :-

Cleanliness – 24 hours between reservations to ensure even more stringent cleanliness than usual

Social distancing – from your hosts and other guests, private gardens and plenty of space in which to wander and relax away from other guests

Check-in and check-out without contact

Co-operation on regulated pool times for each family

You will find full details on our website and blog – www.peyloubere.com – but don’t hesitate to contact us direct. We cannot wait to be sharing Peyloubère with our guests once again so fingers crossed, the situation will continue to improve. A bientôt !

IDEAL POST-LOCKDOWN COTTAGE – private garden, space to roam, tranquillity, pool

Before telling you about our beautiful Domaine, we would like to reassure you that once the current pandemic is contained, travel and group gathering restrictions are lifted and we feel it is safe to welcome guests to Peyloubère, we will be ready with precautions in place to make our haven of tranquillity as safe as possible for our guests. You will find details on our own website, www.peyloubere.com and also about the changes to payment arrangements which will make reserving a cottage at Peyloubère as easy as possible in the coming months.  Do not hesitate to contact us and in the meantime, stay safe and well and like us, plan for a happier future.

The stunning Domaine de Peyloubère is a 35-acre château estate located near Auch in the heart of Gascony, south-west France.  There are five cottages accommodating from four to eight guests, a 12 x 6metre heated swimming pool (enclosed by a fence and self closing gates) as well as the health centre with sauna, exercise equipment, secluded garden and sunbathing terrace.

The holiday cottages at Peyloubère are designed with families in mind.  They are practical, comfortable, spacious and uncluttered and the gardens of ‘Giulietta’ and ‘les Cèdres’ are enclosed for the safety of younger children.  We have been delighted to welcome numerous families with children of all ages over the past twenty years and have learned from experience what makes the task of holidaying with young children a pleasure rather than a challenge.

First, baby paraphernalia !  Four cots (with linen), four high chairs (suitable for newborn babies up to small children), baby bath, changing mat are all provided at no charge.  A microwave, children’s cutlery, plastic bowls and beakers are standard in all cottages as are a television and DVD player with a large library of films, invaluable for those quiet moments.

Indoor and outdoor games are provided for all our visitors and there are two large toy chests  containing soft toys, puzzles, lego, farmyard animals and books for  our younger guests.

All this as well as 35 acres of woodland, lakes and gardens and lots to do and see nearby from the childrens’ playground in Pavie village to go-karting, acro-branche, riding stables and paintball all within ten minutes and, further afield, leisure lakes, river trips, drive-thru safari and zoo, Aqualand and Walibi theme park as well of course as more demanding sports and hiking in the Pyrénées.

‘Giulietta’ is a charming, spacious cottage on two floors and has been completely renovated and re-equipped.  It is suitable for up to six people.  Wide steps lead down from the kitchen into the spacious living room where exposed stone walls, rustic beams and the iron manger are evidence of its previous use. Large french windows look out over the rose garden.  There is a WC on the ground floor.

The shady enclosed garden  and terrace is ideal for barbecues or private sunbathing and leads through wide french windows into the modern kitchen.  Here, the oven, hob, work surface and storage cupboards are  housed in a central island unit and a wooden staircase leads up to the first floor.

On the first floor there are three spacious bedrooms, two with twin beds and the master bedroom with a large 150cm double bed.  All have the original polished wooden floors and the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and external stone stairway and balcony facing the evening sunset.  There is a separate bathroom with WC and a useful storage cupboard.
