La Chataigneraie – Exclusive Use - From €3900 - €7600 per Week

A stunning, tranquil location in the Pyrenees, within easy reach of both the Mediterranean coast and mountain lakes and ski resorts.  Superb, quality accommodation for up to 28 people.  13 bedrooms (mostly en-suite) in 2 acres of gardens. Facilities include: swimming pool, wifi, gym, boules court, mountain bikes, 5 metre home-cinema screen, library and games room with table football, board games, raquets and balls.  Space to be together and, just as importantly, space to be apart!

Our accommodation includes:

The main house: B&B/Chambre d’hotes rooms: 5 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 people. (4 double rooms and 1 twin room, all with en-suite shower rooms)Tres Estelles apartment (part of the main house): self-contained 2-bedroom apartment for 4 – 6 people with one double room and one twin room  (large sofa-bed in living room)

La Capsole : Completely independent top-floor apartment of 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 people. (2 double rooms both with en-suite bathrooms; 2 twin rooms and 1 room with bunk-beds sharing a further bathroom and cloakroom.)

Petit Gite : 1 bedroom, sleeping 2 people – (1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room.)

Each gite/apartment is completely independent with its own kitchen including a fridge-freezer, microwave and a dish-washer, along with a private garden or terrace with a barbeque, table & chairs and wonderful views.

The main house has a shared central kitchen with two ovens, two hobs and two fridges, fully equipped for 30 people.  There is a substantial shared central lounge with 5-metre home-cinema film screen and extensive gardens where there are a choice of settings for you to barbeque and eat together as a large group.

The boule court has a net and can double up for an informal game of volleyball or badminton, and the lower garden has loads of space for kicking a football or a game or rounders. There are also plenty of quieter areas where you can find some solitude to sit and read a book.

Our “ Chef à Domicle” will prepare a superb three-course meal complete with waitress service and the paella-man will give you a soiree to remember, preparing a huge paella – a spectacle to watch cook, and truly delicious!

The village bistro is a scenic 15 minute walk away, through orchards and alongside the river and she will happily cater for groups by arrangement.

This picturesque area is steeped in culture and history. Many of France’s most beautiful villages, such as Eus and Villefranche de Conflent, are nearby. It is a walker’s paradise with a huge range of sports, natural spas and activities also available nearby – everything from horse-riding to river-tubing, canyonning to carting.

As owners, we are always on hand to offer advice and deal with any queries, but aim to be “out of sight, out of mind” when not needed!
