It is 15 miles south of Ruffec and only 30 minutes from the bustling city of Angoulême.
It is set back off a country road in a walled courtyard, with the nearest French neighbour approximately 150 yards away. The nearest supermarket is just 10 minutes drive, and there are hypermarkets at Ruffec which is about 20 minutes drive. There is a boulangerie and traditional French bar/restaurant 3-4 minutes away (by car) in Valence, although the owners often cycle there!
