La Grange Sud is a fantastic family friendly holiday farmhouse, that caters for all sizes of groups from a couple on a romantic break to 12 adults and 2 children, with room also for travel cots. The villa consists of The Farmhouse and The Barn which are linked via their sitting rooms. It is one large villa, and only ever rented to one group, however our guests love being together but at the same time having a little space during their holiday.

The Farmhouse has four en suite bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and large balcony. The pool and pool terraces lead from the kitchen.

The Barn is a beautiful space which has an open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor is a shower room. A lovely deck leads from the sitting room which has the large jacuzzi and outdoor dining area. The Barn’s first floor has a Main bedroom with super king bed plus a Twin bedroom. These two bedrooms share a bathroom.

Please bring your loved family pets too, we have been welcoming them for 20 years and they love the walks from the villa!

Whatever type of holiday you are looking for, this very well equipped villa has something for all ages and interests with extensive golf equipment, infant facilities and a range of bikes for all ages.

We also have a 20 year history of helping our guests arrange all the details for holidays for special occasions.

LOCATION
The villa is located at the end of a 200 metre lane which means it is very peaceful and safe for children. It is situated in a beautiful part of the Dordogne, close to Bergerac and surrounded by vineyards, plum orchards and woodlands, perfect for a relaxing holiday. La Grange overlooks Chateau Vigiers Golf course with a Michelin star restaurant and spa. Our guests receive a generous reduction of 25% on golf rounds as well as discounts on Spa treatments. If you do not wish to bring your golf equipment with you then you can hire from us for £10 per set of clubs, trolleys and bags for your stay.

The villa is easy to reach either driving or flying. It is under a 6 hour drive from St Malo or Caen and only 20 minutes from Bergerac airport or 90 minutes from Bordeaux airport. Please see our website for more travel information to help plan your journey.

HEATED POOL
La Grange has a stunning heated pool from which there are super views. The pool has the sun all day and is also a wonderful place to enjoy the sun sets. There are lots of very comfortable sun loungers with large sun shades and a huge Kettler dining table with lots of chairs to accommodate larger groups. The pool also benefits from a retractable cover that is very easy to use and has the benefit of keeping the water as warm as possible as well meaning guests can swim in any weather conditions and at night. The pool cover is also a safety feature for families with young children as it is lockable. Visiting families with younger children will enjoy the trampoline with enclosure and steps, Wendy House, see saw, football goals and Little Tikes play area. There are lovely views from the pool terrace over the Lower Garden and also across woodlands and the golf course. The heated pool is open and heated from Easter until mid November.

JACUZZI

The large jacuzzi is situated on the deck of The Barn. It is complimentary during school holidays or for holidays or two weeks or more. At other times the rental is £250 per week.

BEDROOMS
All six bedrooms have air conditioning which is essential for a good nights sleep in the Dordogne in the hotter months.

The Farmhouse has four en suite bedrooms

There are two ground floor bedrooms;
The Lavender Suite – with beautiful views and direct access to the large balcony that has a glass balustrade not to interrupt the views, an en suite shower room, a super-king bed with memory foam mattress and a relaxing sofa which can convert to a single bed. This bedroom also has views over the pool area.
The Yellow Suite – with a large en suite bathroom with cast iron bath as well as a shower, super-king bed which can convert to twin beds if preferred.

There are two first floor bedrooms, both with views over the countryside and golf Course.
The Rose Suite – with an en suite shower room, a super-king bed and a relaxing sofa which can convert to a single bed
The Green Suite – with an en suite shower room, and a choice of a super-king bed or twin beds.

The Barn has two first floor bedrooms which share a bathroom, a Super king and a Twin bedroom.

EXTENSIVE GARDENS
La Grange has extensive grounds to enjoy with lots of space for everyone. Much thought has gone into providing several areas for guests to sit and relax.
The Upper Garden is a one acre lovely space with the pool area, the circular driveway and a huge garden with a super size trampoline, enclosure and steps. Guests can enjoy the seating area at the far end of the Upper garden with lovely views over the golf course.
Wander down the steps to the large Lower Garden with stunning views along the valley and the golf course. This really is a very beautiful area with a seating area around a covered well as well as swinging hammocks. Enjoy a game of table tennis here too.
You can also reach the Lower Garden with a stroll down the little lane and then following a grassy path from here.

Heated pool, super size trampoline, table tennis, air-conditioning in every bedroom plus the Farmhouse sitting room and kitchen, hundreds of DVD’s for all genres, flat screen TV’s in bedrooms, Smart Tv in the sitting room, extensive infant equipment and golf equipment, bikes and helmets for all ages, Hamleys board games, book library, Wendy House, Weber gas and charcoal BBQ, fast wi-fi, luxury Bedeck bedding.

GOLF
The villa is perfect for both golfers and non golfers. It is also perfect for a family holiday combined with golf. The choice is yours! Our guests receive a 25% discount at Chateau Vigiers which is a friendly course and warmly welcomes our guests. No handicap certificate is required. All the golf equipment you may need is provided at the villa for £10 per set. Guests can also purchase from us gloves, balls and tees at cost price from Sports Direct. As well as the main course there is a par 3 course for beginners. A great course for all levels of golfers.

CHEF AND VILLA DINING
The area has a wide choice of restaurants for all tastes and budgets however our guests also have the option of dining at La Grange with a range of dining to choose from including; canapes, meals for your arrival, BBQ boxes delivered for you to do the cooking or the chef stays and cooks for you, a choice of set menus delivered or a choice of set menus cooked by the chef at the villa. Bespoke menus can also be arranged. We are able to cater for all special occasions and to make all the necessary arrangements.

PET FRIENDLY
We have been welcoming much loved family pets for the last 20 years, with many becoming regulars and returning each year. The majority of local restaurants and vineyards welcome dogs too. There are lovely walks directly from La Grange through the vineyards and along the single-track lanes. It is very easy to bring them on the ferry in the dog friendly cabins and the journey to the villa is straightforward. Tracey the owner can provide all the details.

BEAUTY TREATMENTS/YOGA/MASSAGE/SPA
We offer a complimentary concierge service to ensure you have a stress free holiday from the time of your first enquiry and can beauty and massage treatments at the villa. There is a luxury spa at Chateau Vigiers where our guests receive a generous discount. In the warmer months Yoga can also be arranged in the grounds for both novices and experienced yogis as well as for children.

CYCLING AND WALKING
The villa is surrounded by a network of single-track lanes without hedges which are perfect for cycling and walking. One of the great joys in rural France is to enjoy a walk or cycle to a local restaurant. The villa has an extensive selection of bikes and helmets for all ages as well as a toddler pull along carriage and infant seats.

FAMILY FRIENDLY WINE TASTING
We have strong links with a range of local family and dog friendly vineyards for our guests to enjoy.
We also have links further afield in St Emilion.
One of our caretakers is a registered wine guide and offers local bespoke tours to both vineyards and local farms to discover the famous gastronomic delights.

The villa is on the edge of a tiny hamlet where you can pet the donkeys and enjoy looking at the local chickens. You can also walk to the village which has an area with basket ball nets, a 13th century church and 3 vineyards for local wine tasting.
