St Martin is a delightful house situated on a quiet back street of St Martin Labouval, just 100 meters from the banks of the River Lot and 5km from the famous clifftop village of Sainte-Cirq-Lapopie.
Sleeping up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, and open all year round, St Martin offers a great base to explore the beauty of the Lot valley, with limestone cliffs, caves and spectacular scenery within easy reach. The river hosts many activities, with a cycle path, canoe & boat hire, climbing, swimming and more.

On the ground floor, St Martin’s kitchen is very well equipped with a wooden dining table and chairs, electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, and a dishwasher. A good range of utensils and small appliances are also available.
Double doors open out onto the enclosed courtyard for outdoor dining.
A workspace/leisure room is also on this floor with comfortable seating, and a sofa bed for Person 6.
Fast fibre internet is installed at the property.
On the first floor there are two large beautifully furnished double bedrooms with exposed beams. One has an ensuite WC and basin. A hair dryer is available.
On the second floor there is a single bedroom, a cloakroom and WC with basin. Also on this floor is the impressive sitting room area that has Smart TV with SFR digital box and a music centre. Views are over rooftops to the tranquil River Lot.
There is also a large modern shower room with plenty of storage space and a washing machine on the ground floor.
Guests can dine outdoors on the south facing covered veranda, with charcoal barbecue available. This terrace catches the afternoon sun, and with its retractable awning can be an ideal escape from the heat of the day.
This quiet retreat offers many hidden details to enjoy. A short walk away, dangle your feet in the river while you sip infusions from a local grower of herbs. Soak in the local culture at the nearby bar in Cénevières just a 10 minute walk away. Stroll through the quiet villages and visit the boulangerie in Tour de Faure.
For larger shops and a good selection of restaurants, the attractive towns of Limogne en Quercy and Cajarc are about 10 km away.
Free parking is on street near the property or in the small village car park.
AROUND THE AREA:
The rugged limestone countryside hides a myriad of things to do, with canoeing, boating and fishing on the river, on and off road cycling in a variety of terrains, and more.
Cajarc to the east about 15km, has a dammed section of the river, great for water based activities. There is also a good selection of shops, restaurants and other interesting outlets.
Anyone interested in archaeology will be in for a feast, with many large dolmen and other settlement features to be found in the area. The internationally known prehistoric cave site of Pech Merle is only 20 minutes away by car where genuine cave paintings and a host of other artefacts can be seen. The troglodyte cave dwellings of La Toulzanie (pictured) are only a couple of kilometres away.
For winter visitors. the weekly truffle market at Limogne is an attraction not to be missed.
