Located on a quiet side street in a historic village, La Petite Hune is a character cottage for 4 people. On the very edge of Tarn et Garonne, with the gentle landscape of Gers and the Garonne nearby its a great place for a family holiday.
Garden and Pool
A well tended colourful garden gives a very pleasant country feel, and there are plenty of sunbeds and furniture to enjoy the sun or shade as you choose. The above ground pool allows gentle relaxation in the water on the hottest of days.
A courtyard outside the main door is a south facing sun trap to enjoy meals in sun and shade. Once the sun has gone round, the warmth of the stone walls give a gentle heat to enjoy evenings outdoors.
Inside the house
The Ground floor is an open plan kitchen and sitting room with comfortable seating and a well equipped kitchen. Television and internet are available, and there is a music centre.
Upstairs is the Master double bedroom and two single rooms. This makes La Petite Hune a great cottage for 4 in the family – or equally a great place for a couple to escape.
In the village
The village of Mansonville is a quiet hamlet with many old historic buildings: There is a restaurant cum grocery which also has a ‘depot du pain’ for your fresh daily bread and pastries – so much a feature of family holidays in France.
Around the area
There is plenty to explore – the famous market place of Auvillar is just 5km away, and the UNESCO heritage site of the Abbey and Cloisters is within 20 minutes drive. Family cycle trips along the Garonne canal path are very popular, and bicycle hire is available from several places.
For a family fun day out, the Walygator fun park at Agen is about 25 minutes away. Advance booking in busy times is recommended.
Getting here
La Petite Hune is a few minutes off the A62 ‘Entre deux mers’ Autoroute just south of Agen. It is approximately 45 minutes from Toulouse, and 1 hr 20 from Bordeaux.
