Le Mas de Thau is nestled amongst Languedoc vineyards (Occitanie) in the middle of the beautiful, authentic French countryside, close to the Étang de Thau (10 mns) and the sandy beaches of Marseillan (25 mns) and Sète (35 mns).
Our friendly family resort, set in 20 ha (50 acres) is a luxurious retreat in South France between Montpellier and Beziers. We keep in mind a family’s need for comfort and high quality services.

As soon as you arrive, you will feel the serenity of this estate, surrounded by nature with pine covered hills reminding you of Tuscany and far seen view of the Thau Lagoon and the Mediterranean sea.
Our resort of 20 hectares (about 50 acres) of idyllic and sprawling grounds, is oriented towards children’s safety and activities. It is entirely gated and always secured which can be opened with your own remote control (available on arrival).
Your children will have the luxury and the freedom to be children, with acres of space to run around, ride bikes and scooters, play football…

6 quality apartments

Le Mas de Thau is a collection of 6 apartments, each one unique and decorated with a modern, authentic feel and distinctive French flare. Each distinctive holiday apartment  has its own private entrance. They range in size from 90 to 160 m², and sleep 4 to 8 people. Each apartment has its own private outside space with outdoor table and chairs for dining and relaxing, whether a garden, a terrace with a camarguaise straw hut or roof terrace with stunning views.

Our entire domain can also be rented for about 30 people, there are 15 bedrooms.

Each apartment has:

• Fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, expresso coffee machine, kettle and all dishes and cutlery needed.
• In the living room you will find a large sofa with comfortable armchairs, flat screen TV, DVD player, high speed wifi and air conditionning in each rooms.
• The bedrooms are equipped with luxury bedding for sweet dreams, king size beds (160 x 200) for parents and single beds (80 x 200) for children.

Prices start from a Self Catering only package for a family of 4 for €1750 EUR in Low season, and in Mid and High Season a range of catering options between ordinary self catering and half board terms is available, and other meals can be ordered as extras.

Two pools and a jacuzzi

The pool area is entirely gated and secured, surronded by lavender and all Mediterranean plants, closed by a portal, is the favorite spot for all, parents and children. The big heated pool starts with a baby and toodler’s area, and finishes by a deeper dive area, lots of water games and fun for all.
The second pool will allow parents to swim and finish to relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi.

Kids Club, Teenager activities and Family activities

Our Kids Club takes care of the children from 3 months to 12 years. For teenagers (age 12+) we propose free weekly training (windsurf, sailing, wake-board, horse riding …).
Everything a family might need for quality time together with the added luxury of allowing children to be children and time and space to relax for adults.

Restaurant and Bar

We exclusively work with fresh organic products delivered by the local producers.
Every day the chef will propose 2 menus to choose for the dinner, simpler menus for children. The dinners can be either delivered to your accomodation each evening for you to eat at your leisure or eaten at theterrace of the restaurant.
You also will have the possibility to have lunch at the restaurant or order a picnic basket, according to the menu (optional). All food allergies and restrictions will be accepted, the Chef will be able to propose different menus.
The park is equipped with tables and chairs for all family picnics.

Le Bar du Mas de Thau is located in the heart of the domain, under South France  bicentenary trees, the Micocouliers. It is open daily from 10.00 am , guests can curl up and enjoy a peaceful coffee or tea on our comfortable sofas, under the camarguaise hut, relaxing while childcare has started in the kid’s club.

If you fancy a glass of something cold and a game of boules at sundown, le Bar du Mas is the perfect spot. Enjoy a beer or a glass of wine for the « aperitif » (such a french tradition), have a chat with the owners and catch up with other parents in the knowledge that your children are playing safely in the playground nearby, or riding bikes or scooters, jumping on the bouncy castle or on the trampoline,  or gliding down the zip line.

We had a dream … and it took us 3 years to find out the perfect place to realize our project. The domain was old, the previous owners lived in a part of it, and it really needed to be restored…

Yvan and I arrived on the mas on December 23rd 2013 with only two suitcases. We had our family Christmas dinner in front of the fire place with borrowed kitchen equipment and dishes, in an uncomfortable part of the mas but it didn’t matter!! All our furniture, dishes,… still were in the storage in Versailles….
