Corneille is a spacious 4 bedroom holiday cottage with accommodation for up to 10 people in the Charente countryside between Limoges and Angoulème.

The well designed layout is perfect for one or two families sharing or for a multi-generational family holiday with ground floor accommodation for grandparents.

Being in the heart of ‘La Croix Gites’ a small complex of 5 cottages, Corneille is the ideal choice for friends and extended family groups wanting to holiday together; booking this + other cottages on site.
The flexible layout and well equipped open-plan kitchen diner allows for family comfort and can create a convivial dining space for up to 24 eating together, either inside or on Corneille’s large private gated terrace.

Corneille has views over the gardens, pool and play areas in this beautiful country estate. There are 18 acres of grounds to enjoy, with something for children and families of all ages: family games and sports, exploring and enjoying the wildlife in the meadows, woodlands and pine forest and fun fishing in the small lake. There are play areas for climbing and swinging, giant draughts, table tennis, snooker, play houses and cars, toys and games to enable children to let their imaginations run free. Many of the play areas are outside but undercover so that the fun can continue whatever the weather. There are many shaded seating spots to paint, to enjoy an evening glass of wine or simply for parents wanting to relax while keeping a reassuring eye on the kids.

La Croix Gites is only a mile from the Lacs de Haute Charente with safe sandy beaches, great value water sports, horse and pony riding, mini-golf and family friendly snack bars and restaurants.

Easy by car – La Croix Gites are 5½ hours from Caen (Portsmouth ferry) or 9 hours from Calais (Dover Ferry). From more northerly UK ports, take the Zeebrugge ferry. Just 1½ hours further than Calais.

Easy by air – La Croix Gites are 45 minutes from Limoges airport.

Easy by train – The Eurostar from St Pancras via either Paris or Lille and TGV to Angouleme or Limoges takes 6 – 7 hours. But you will need a hire car from there
